| Edward Pfitzenmaier Suburban Office 1950 |
Edward Pfitzenmaier established Suburban in 1926. He operated from a second floor in a building on the same block where our
retail store is today. He began by selling and servicing typewriters and adding machines. Customer service was his strong
point. He believed that the most important quality that a company could have is a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.
That commitment lives on today.
In 1950 he purchased the building at 39 East Lancaster Avenue and expanded the business to include the sale of stationery
items. The store was run by his wife, his daughters and other employees. Edward concentrated on service and repair of all
types of office equipment.
Suburban is now run by Edward's daughter, Peggy Savery, and two of her sons, Scott Mahan & Stephen Mahan. Suburban
also employs eight full and part-time employees. Our current location is three doors away at 49 East Lancaster Avenue. We
have grown to become a full-line office products company. We sell and service all types of office machines.
